What in the world is going on you ask? MOVMX Updates to follow. MOVMX update 07/24

I must apologize for the tardiness in getting things updated. Fortunately I can tell you it's not because of anything bad, no injuries, no illnesses, and no huge setbacks of any kind. Nope, I've just been lazy about setting inside in front of a computer. I have been riding my motorcycle every chance I can. Haven't gotten any faster, haven't lost any weight, but hey I have worn out three pair of gloves and a pair of boots. It has given me time to think a little and get my head back around what I can do to make MOVMX better for all of you.

So now that it's hot and ugly, I guess its time to sit my fanny down and get back to work and let you all know what's going on. Thanks for your patience.

Of course the first thing is to tell you about the remaining races. All remaining weekends will be double races Saturday and Sunday. With travel costs what they are, I have to make changes to make it worth every dollar that you put into it. And only have races that I know will be the best they can be. I have eliminated one weekend, combined two dates yet added one race. It will still be a best 10 race series, just added one race at the end to make the drive worth while.

September13/14: Our next race at Legends will NOT be a night/day race. In Bart's attempts to make the track changes that he wants, he still has to make some lighting changes. Those lights will not be finished by September. So it two daytime races 8:00 sign in, 9:00 practice, 11:00 racing both days.

October 11/12: I know that the east side is not going to be ALL that happy about this choice, but I have decided to combine the two October dates into one. And we will be racing back at Eagle's Roost by Springfield. Track operator Jim Schultz worked very hard to get the first one in for us and I know this one will be as good if not better.

November 1 / 2 Harper's (Daylight Savings weekend). Added an extra race here just to make it worth the drive for those coming a long way. This race has become one of the largest attended, hope no one misses it. Saturday normal Start times, Sunday moves up to 10:30 races. Practice will be shorter.

Points. Points have been updated on the website. I have had some trouble with the new computer and program, but I think I have it all fixed. If you see a problem with your points, drop me a note. I have all the finishes from all the races and I can go back and look at them and get it straightened out.

New Receipt contest: I have been working with our Tucker / Rocky Representative Kevin Christensen and have scored some extra goodies for you. Between now and our November race, save every receipt from each purchase at our sponsor dealers Donnell's Motorcycles, and Motorcycle Closeout's. Also for those of you down south, you can go to 417 Powersports / KTM of the Ozarks and save receipts from there. Bring them to the November race with your name written on the back, and we will be drawing from those receipts for a set of gear from MSR / Answer. The only way to enter this contest is to go into our sponsor's stores and thank them for their support and bring your receipts to the November race.

Banquet: Saturday night January 17th 2009. We will be back at the same place, The Holiday Inn Executive Center in Columbia. Rooms will be available for the same price of $69.95. Keyword MOVMX when booking. Call 573.446.3970 for reservations. Tickets will be the same as last year $30 for adults and $20 for kids 12 and under. 3 and under are free.

Due to the events after the banquet last year, all cameras will be confiscated after 10PM to save embarrassment to all involved. I'm still getting calls from the "Enquirer". Paparazzi is scheduled to arrive about 4PM, thanks to a few "special" people.

Vintage Hare Scramble Series. This year again we will be doing a Winter Hare Scramble series. All of these events are geared specifically for the vintage bikes, and laid out by vintage riders. Classes are Vintage, PV, Disc (front disc only) and kids (12 and over).

This year I am adding two playbike classes, 150cc and 230cc. These are for the XR / TTR / KLX / DR type machines. Of single disc or dual drum brakes. Limited to air cooled machines 230cc and under.

Locations include: Debell's playground,Ottawa, ks Midwest extreme park, Merwin, MO, Harper's Stringtown Ranch, Greenwood, MO.. Dates to be announced but they will be NOvember, December and January

Again thanks to all of you for being patient with me about this and I hope to see every one in September.

Thanks, Curtis
